Lisbon diary

I was most fascinated by the tiled buildings in Lisbon. The variety was endless and it made every building unique but somehow all the patterns and colors seem to go together so well. Lisbon is also full of cute little carts that offer refreshments such as lemonades, lime sodas, freshly squeezed juices or delightful cocktails. Here I was having a gin&tonic matching the cart and the cool looking guys.
Nejvic me v Lisabonu fascinovaly vychalickovane domy. Tolik ruznych vzoru a barev, presto k sobe ale vsechny pasuji a tvori krasne panorama. Lisabon je take plny takovych malych mobilnich obcerstvovacich stanic, ktere nabizi osvezeni v podani domacich limonad, cerstvych ovocnych stav, limetovych sodovek nebo koktejlu. Ja si tady davala gin&tonic v ladicim outfitu s cool klukama.

SUP

We move t-shirt and leggings
Yesterday was not an ideal day for taking pictures (way too sunny) but it was ideal for another SUP lesson (a little breeze can go a long way!). Paddle boarding really got me and ever since I tried it in Thailand during my new year's vacation I've been planning little trips here and there just to get back on the board. When I came to Prague I was super excited to find a few places where you can rent it and paddle Vltava up and down as much as you want. I rented two different boards yesterday from Paddleboard shop and I recommend that to all of you thinking about getting your own because the speed and stability difference was huge.
I was wearing a t-shirt and leggings from a czech label We move. I recently discovered them while attending my pilates lesson and I find it quite refreshing to be able to wear something more unique than the latest collection from the biggest brands in sportswear and the fact that it's made in the Czech republic makes it that much more attractive to me. And I love the color combo of grey and coral!!
Vcerajsem si vyzkousela dve ruzna prkna z pujcovny/obchodu Paddleboard shop a to same doporucuji vsem, kteri premysli o koupi vlastniho, protoze rozdil v rychlosti a stabilite byl dost velky.

Discoveries

Ohne Titel top and short, Mango sandals, Ray Ban aviators, Antipearle necklace
I've made it to Portugal. Finally! Well spent 48 hours :). I'm hoping to go back soon and discover a lot more than just the capitol… In my first post from Portugal you can see one of the many monuments of Lisbon: the Monument to the Discoveries (Padrao dos Descobrimentos). It's located along the Tagus River at a spot where the portuguese ships used to depart on their long journeys exploring India and Orient. The monument celebrates the Age of Discovery, which was the most the glorious period for Portugal.
Udelala jsem si vylet do Portugalska. Konecne!

Washington Diary

 National Air and Space Museum
Richard Serra is my of my favorite artists… here I am with his artwork at the National Gallery of Art
Dan Flavin currently shows at the Hirshhorn Museum
 Capitol Hill
The Beach installation at the National Building Museum
Babu Ji in East Village
I've been to the capitol of the United States twice before but I feel like it's that kind of a place where I can wander around again and again and not get bored. This sort of concentration of culture, good food and things to do is ideal for me. I began "the tour" at the Library of Congress, continued through the Air and Space Museum and various art galleries and ended at the National Building Museum, where we wanted to visit the Beach. We were discouraged by the huge crowd (waiting time about 3 hours!!!) so we decided to drive to a real beach instead. Wise decision if you ask me… Finally we ended that weekend with a light dinner at Babu Ji, a new indian place owned by Australians who have a thing for nice plating (the most beautiful colors!).
Nasi "tour" jsem zacala v knihovne kongresu, pokracovala pres "Air and Space Museum" a nekolik umeleckych galerii az do Narodniho muzea budov, kde jsme chteli videt a zazit instalaci "the Beach". Vikend jsme potom zakoncili jeste lehkou veceri v nove indicke restauraci Babu Ji, kterou vlastni australane s vasni pro krasne naservirovane jidlo ty barvy!).
