I've made it to Portugal. Finally! Well spent 48 hours :). I'm hoping to go back soon and discover a lot more than just the capitol… In my first post from Portugal you can see one of the many monuments of Lisbon: the Monument to the Discoveries (Padrao dos Descobrimentos). It's located along the Tagus River at a spot where the portuguese ships used to depart on their long journeys exploring India and Orient. The monument celebrates the Age of Discovery, which was the most the glorious period for Portugal.

Prvni z mych postu z Portugalska vam predstavi jeden z lisabonskych pamatniku: Pamatnik objevitelu (Padrao dos Descobrimentos). Najdete ho na nabrezi reky Tajo, v miste, odkud vyplovaly lode za poznanim a obchodem do Indie a Orientu. Pamatnik byl postaven na oslavu ery portugalskych moreplavcu.
